Sunshine will round out the week today, but showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 65 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fog/mist was reported.
Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 78.
Cloudy skies are predicted tonight, along with a 40 percent chance of showers after 2 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and tonight’s low will be around 62.
Saturday is expected to bring mostly cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after 11 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the high will be near 80.
Cloudy skies will follow into Saturday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the low will be around 54.
Sunday will bring cloudy skies to wrap up the weekend, and there will be a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high will be near 67.
Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m. The low will be around 56.
