At this time, we have an immediate opening for an Entry Level Aerospace Engineer. The position can be located in any of our offices; however the successful candidate is expected to spend several months in our Tucson, AZ offices to acclimate to the business. Candidates with education, training, work experience, and/or knowledge of any of the following technical disciplines are particularly valuable to our team: Thermal Control Systems (TCS) Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) Systems engineering Crew Systems and Crew Cabin Design
The Entry Level Engineer performs engineering functions requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, analyses, procedures and criteria to create systems and components from layouts to detail design, production, and test. The Entry Level Engineer must be multidisciplinary and flexible with regard to assignments. Representative assignments right out of the gate may include, but are not limited to: Develop design concepts that meet provided requirements using computer aided design (CAD) tools and by performing first-order analysis Modify and/or update existing engineering designs Present resulting designs and provide concept descriptions, options considered and coherent rationale to supervisors, senior engineers and program management Design and support build-up of mockups Develop and execute test plans Perform research on the development and/or application of cutting edge technologies Organize data and report on research
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Abilities again this is a representative list and it is understood that no one candidate has to bring all to the table (well except maybe for the last one): Knowledge and skill in applying engineering principles and processes Knowledge and skill in applying CAD applications (e.g. SOLIDWORKS) Knowledge and skill in applying analytical software applications (e.g. ANSYS CFX, ANSYS Mechanical, or Thermal Desktop) Knowledge and skill in utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Academic or work experience in one or more of the following discipline areas: ECLSS, TCS, Systems Engineering, Crew Systems and Crew Cabin Design, Structural Analysis, Thermal Analysis, or Human Factors Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal forms Ability to establish and maintain effective, positive work relationships; have creativity, flexibility and resourcefulness; have discriminating judgment, tact and sense of humor
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors of Engineering degree in Aerospace, Bioengineering, Bio-mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent field, and 0-2 years of engineering work experience Candidate must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident Job Posted by ApplicantPro
